Hunters Hill Retirement Village is owned operated by the Hunters Hill Congregational Church. Built in 1975 through the vision of the then minister Pastor Angus Bristow, the Village has been active in giving care and support to the aged.

Our Management Committee

Stephen Hardy
Member of the Management Committee and Chairman of the Village
Stephen is an Associate at Baker and McKenzie and has been a member of the Management Committee for a number of years. His overriding philosophy is that the Village must be managed in such a way that residents are proud to call it their home.
What I like most about the Village?
I find my role at the Village exciting and challenging.

Graham Hercus
Management Committee Member, Church Elder
As an Organisational Psychologist, Graham provides After Care support to people who grew up in a UPA Children's Home between 1940 and 1985. This background makes Graham's input into the Management of the Village invaluable.
What I like most about the Village?
I relish the challenge that the village presents in terms of balancing the needs of the residents against the demands of very competitive market conditions.

Other invaluable members of our Management Committee are Angus Gardner, Crista Cridland, Hal Drayton, Ho Young Hyun.

Our Staff

Clare Neems
Administrator/Care Manager
Clare's background in nursing and management means that the day-to-day running of the Village is smooth and always inviting.
What I like most about the Village?
I love the daily interaction with the hugely diverse group of people we have here including residents, staff and visitors.

Ron Sims
Financial Controller
As a Business Manager and Church Elder, Ron provides valuable advice and direction through his controlling of and reporting on the financial affairs of the village.
What I like most about the Village?
Interacting with the residents: they are such interesting people!

Sandra Lemits
Receptionist
Receptionist and wedding coordinator Sandra Lemits looks after all administrative matters and is always friendly and helpful.
What I like most about the Village?
I love to be at the centre of all the action!

Other members of our staff include David Caine who fills the role of Property and Security Coordinator. Kitchen staff prepare delicious and nutritionally balanced meals every day. We also have housekeeping staff who keep the apartments clean and tidy and a wonderful handy man who provides maintenance for the whole village.

Our Volunteers

Crista Cridland
Committee Liaison
Having arrived in Australia in 1955 from Germany, Crista's background in secretarial work and bookkeeping means that she can ensure the smooth communication between the Management Committee and the Residents.
What I like most about the Village?
As a Grandmother with a mother living in the Village, I am very happy with the standard of care and love working with the Church.

Pastor Peter Atkins also works very closely with the Village and provides invaluable support and care to our residents.

All of our staff work as a team to ensure the smooth and pleasant day-to-day operation of the Village and provide the best possible service to our residents.

Volunteers

Volunteers work as regulars or casuals, help our elderly guests in their daily routines and provide good companionship.
